Does my French number stay active on WhatsApp?
Yes. Your French SIM stays in the phone and the eSIM carries data only, so WhatsApp keeps working on the number your family already has.
I am driving down through Spain. Does the eSIM cover the road?
No. This plan is Morocco only, so it starts working at Tangier or Nador, not in France or Spain. For the drive, a Europe regional plan covers the leg to the ferry.
Does it work outside Casablanca and Marrakech?
Yes. Maroc Telecom and Orange cover the cities, the coast and the main inland towns on 4G/LTE. On the mountain roads through the Atlas and the Rif it can drop to 3G.
What would roaming on my French contract cost?
Morocco is outside the EU roaming rules, so the EU allowance in your French plan does not apply and data is billed out of bundle. A 10 GB eSIM is €19.09, paid upfront.
Can I share the connection with my family's phones?
